OSDC provides an educational and nurturing environment for infants (3 - 15 months), toddlers (12 - 24 months), stompers (2 - 3 years) and preschoolers (2.9 years - 5 years) through the collaborative efforts of parents and early childhood professionals. Children must be within noted age category by September, as we are a 12-month contracted program beginning in September and running through August.
We are proud to say that we have enjoyed a long and successful history of over 30 years of loving care as a parent-staff cooperative. We are a community that is highly diverse not only in the families that we serve but in our staff as well.

Thanks to OSDC’s cooperative organizational structure, we have been especially successful retaining a talented and committed staff of teachers. Currently, the average tenure at OSDC is 7½ years, with many teachers having worked here for over 10 years! We feel strongly about providing excellent compensation for our teaching staff, as well as providing for time away from the classroom to prevent “teacher burn-out.” This is only part of the reason why our staff continues to stay year after year. Staff also stay because of the connectedness they feel to children and families. Because OSDC is a parent-staff cooperative, parent involvement is required, which further ensures that the we meet the high hopes and expectations we have for our children. OSDC offers both full and part time enrollment slots on a sliding-scale fee basis to both Harvard affiliates and the general public. We are open year-round, with the exception of major holidays. Enrollment options are as follows:
Full Time: 8:15am - 5:30pm, Mon-Fri For a list of current openings. We are located at 25 Francis Avenue in Cambridge, Massachusetts on the Harvard University campus, just a short walk from the Harvard Square subway stop on the Red Line.
